Microsoft's SQL Server 2012 adds more power to SQL Server Analysis Services. In the vanilla offering of the server, you configure SSAS to support Tabular model which can be used to work with SSRS 2012's latest enhancement, Power View. Of course you need to connect to the BISM created using SSDT via SharePoint 2010 to do all this. Recently in a SP to SQL Srver 2012 Microsoft has added features that helps creating Power Views using the Multi-dimensional model thus eleminating the restriction on using Tabular Model only. In my new book, in Chapter 6, I describe how you may create a TDM from scratch using SSDT. Then follow it up using the BISM so created to power up the Power View reports in SharePoint 2010. If you want to jump start on Power Views and enhancement to SSAS in SQL Server 2012, I recommend my book.
