On Oct 24, 2016 Microsoft released Cumulative Update package 2 (CU2) for SQL Server 2014 SP2.

This update contains hotfixes for issues that were fixed after the release of SQL Server 2014 SP2. This build number of this cumulative update package is 12.0.5522.0. SQL Server CUs are certified to the same levels as Service Packs, and should be installed at the same level of confidence.
