Quick Installation Guide for Analysis Services Load Testing using ASLoadSim and ASQueryGenerator

There are two projects available on the CodePlex website that allows load testing against Analysis Services. These two projects are ASLoadSim and ASQueryGenerator. The two projects are used in conjunction with each other in order to allow for load testing of a specific SSAS cube. They have been around since 2007 with the most recent update being in 2009.

I recently had to use these two projects to do Load Testing of a Cube and decided to put together a short step by step guide for installation and execution. The ASLoadSim project comes with the SSAS Load Testing Best Practices - Draft v1.3b.doc document which I will refer to for detailed information regarding certain installation and execution steps.
